Questions
Does it cost anything to post my car?
No. Posting is free, and it stays free. This is a showcase, not a store.
Does my car have to be an AMC?
No. Any classic is welcome: Chevy, Ford, Mopar, Studebaker, Packard, AMC and everything in between. The registry started with the AMC family because of Kenosha’s history, and the AMC form still exists for those cars.
How do I post my car?
Use one of the two buttons above. AMC-family cars use the AMC form; everything else uses the all-makes form. Year, make, model and your name are required; everything else is optional.
What should I know about photos?
Add your best full-car shot first; it becomes the main photo on your car’s page. Add as many others as you like: interior, engine, details, the story behind it.
When will my car show up on the site?
Every car is reviewed before it appears, so it isn’t instant. Once it’s approved it shows up on this page and gets its own page.
Will my email address be shown?
Only if you say yes on the form. The default is no. Your name shows the way you typed it, so use a last initial if you’d rather.
Can I change my listing or add photos later?
Yes. Email with what you’d like changed. An owner login for editing your own car is in the works.
Can I mark my car for sale?
Yes. Tick “For Sale?” on the form and a For Sale tag appears on your car. Buyers reach you through your email if you chose to show it; otherwise through the registry.
Who takes the event photos?
Julie Arnold, who runs the site. The galleries under Photos are from local shows, races and cruise-ins. If you spot your car in one, post it.
